Our hiring organization is a reputable security services provider dedicated to ensuring the protection and safety of client properties and personnel across various industries. As a company recognized for its commitment to exceptional security standards, we operate with professionalism, integrity, and a client-focused approach. Our services include providing highly trained security officers who ensure the maintenance of secure environments for businesses and their stakeholders. We prioritize safety, ethical conduct, and adherence to established protocols, aiming always to exceed client expectations and uphold industry best practices.
This employment opportunity is for a full-time Security Officer position, offering a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour and requiring 40 hours per week, with the work location being in person at the assigned client site. The Security Officer will play a critical role in maintaining order and protecting client assets by performing a variety of surveillance and protective functions. This role includes monitoring site activities, controlling access, conducting patrols, and responding to emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
The Security Officer is responsible for observing and reporting any activities or incidents, ensuring that safety measures are observed, and working closely with both client personnel and visitors to foster a secure environment. The individual in this role must be diligent in inspecting fire control equipment, security devices, and the general premises to identify any irregularities or risks promptly. Additionally, the Security Officer enforces site-specific regulations and guidelines related to personnel movement, visitor admittance, and overall premises safety.
Key responsibilities include screening visitors and employees to expedite admittance while preventing unauthorized access, maintaining clear and courteous communication, and providing assistance whenever needed. The role demands a proactive approach in managing security operations, such as controlling vehicle movement, operating surveillance equipment, and managing incident scenes effectively.
Moreover, the Security Officer must respond appropriately to various emergencies including fire, medical incidents, bomb threats, and hazardous material situations, following established procedures and safety protocols. The position also involves detailed documentation and reporting duties to ensure that any incidents or suspicious activities are logged accurately and communicated to the relevant authorities or company management as required.
Working conditions require physical stamina and mental alertness, as the position includes frequent walking, standing, and sitting, sometimes over uneven terrain or in inclement weather. The Security Officer must be capable of using necessary protective gear and handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism. Compliance with licensing requirements and the ability to maintain certifications in Basic Life Support (CPR/AED and First Aid) are mandatory.
Overall, this role is essential in delivering excellent security service, fostering trust among clients, and ensuring the smooth operation and safety of the client’s site. Candidates who are detail-oriented, reliable, exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and customer service will find this position rewarding and impactful.
