The role of Event Venue and Security Manager at BEST Crowd Management is crucial for maintaining the integrity and safety of the facilities under its care. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of building security and event safety protocols, managing the 24/7 security team, and implementing technical security projects aligned with company standards and policies. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and paid time off.

This position requires a proactive leader who can manage a large team, coordinate with multiple clients, and ensure compliance with local regulations and union collective bargaining agreements. The Manager will also be deeply involved in event operations, assisting with planning and execution during major stadium events, and acting as a key liaison with local law enforcement and event management teams. Candidates should possess at least two years of prior security experience and people management skills, with a readiness to travel locally as needed and handle various physical demands inherent to security duties. The ideal applicant will be adept at using visitor management systems, staffing large teams, and possibly have military or law enforcement backgrounds to effectively lead investigations and crisis management.

Job Duties

  • Oversee and coordinate scheduling of all staff on 24/7 security team
  • manage the building security controls and technical projects and processes for the company to ensure the safety and security of all employees, visitors, and assets
  • oversee and manage security staff including training, coaching, and mentoring to optimize performance and ensure compliance with company policies
  • oversee and manage the security licensing and tracking for 24/7 and event security staff to ensure compliance with local/state regulations
  • understand and implement policies, procedures, and tracking systems that align with the local union collective bargaining agreement
  • communicate regularly with various clients to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is being shared and client expectations and understood and being met
  • assist the events account manager with all major stadium events including the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and directing of operations
  • travel to local meetings acting as liaison to local law enforcement, local event management and company staff as needed
  • lead and assist in investigations and crisis management using technology and working with clients
  • may be required to provide documentation and consultation in response to legal action
  • foster and develop cooperative relationships with local law enforcement
  • properly handle all company equipment, including radios, computer equipment, flashlight, uniforms, etc.
  • assist with other events taking place in Texas
  • perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
