Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years of age
- valid state of hawaii guard card
- excellent communication skills
- experience as a first responder or related background such as hotel or resort security guard or officer, basic military training, loss prevention or plain clothes operative, emergency medical technician, firefighter, flight attendant
- strong verbal, written and technology skills
- keyboarding skills of 25 wpm
- investigation skills
- ability to perform general clerical duties using microsoft office and site specific programs
- good sense of direction
- self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- strong observation skills with high level of detail and scrutiny

Job Duties
- perform protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and professional manner while dealing with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, threats to life and property
- be trained and respond as a first responder including infant, child and adult cpr, automated external defibrillator, stop the bleed training and fire extinguisher procedures
- conduct interior and exterior resort foot patrol to identify undesirable conditions
- evaluate situations and make logical decisions while maintaining calm demeanor
- conduct investigations by evaluating scenes, interviewing complainants and witnesses and involve correct personnel
- document and write reports
- maintain order while attending to the needs of guests, cast members and vendors
- coordinate response to emergency conditions such as fire, alarms, safety hazards and threats to life and property
- handle violations of resort policy, civil laws and undesired conduct
- use state of the art technology to detect and respond to safety systems
- provide cash escorts for cashiers
- respond to security and emergency calls and prioritize work
- operate complex consoles to receive and dispatch calls while maintaining logs
- provide key assist
- issue contractor and visitor badges
- monitor cctv system and dispatch via two-way radio
- provide accurate information to guests, cast members and vendors
- receive, record and secure found property and respond to lost property inquiries
- escort guests and cast members to parking lots
- perform other assigned duties
