As a Security Guard Patrol based in Victorville, CA, this position offers a full-time role with a pay rate of $21.49 per hour. Working primarily within government human services facilities, the unarmed patrol officer is tasked with monitoring and safeguarding assigned areas through routine and random patrols. The role requires the individual to remain highly visible to deter security breaches, respond promptly and effectively to incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Consideration of qualified applicants with criminal histories
  • Subject to drug screening as permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements as per state and/or local laws may be required prior to employment
  • Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in security or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Attention to detail and observational skills
  • Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government services location
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout offices, public areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations through proper channels
  • Support staff and visitors with directions, information, and general assistance while maintaining awareness of daily operations and security-related concerns at the location
