Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
valid Guard Card required
valid California driver’s license required
firearm permit required
ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly
physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary
able to sit for prolonged periods monitoring surveillance equipment
able to lift 50 pounds
reliable and punctual
able to work five shifts per week on a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays
excellent customer service skills
strong communication skills
ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

Firearm permit required
valid California driver’s license required
valid Guard Card required
security guard experience preferred
qualification in security training preferred
prior military experience and/or current or past armed guard experience preferred
excellent customer service and hospitality skills
strong communication skills
must be reliable and able to work without constant direct supervision
high school diploma or GED

Job Duties

Maintain the safety and security of the Baldwin Park facility and grounds
understand all aspects of guard monitoring such as operating the front gates, foot patrols, monitoring cameras, understanding alarm systems and emergency procedures
serve as a receptionist and greeter in the guard shack for all visitors
screen and log in all visitors entering and exiting the complex
conduct routine surveillance, perform security patrols, protocol and contingency operations
contact law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
check doors, windows, and gates after business hours to ensure the property is secure
investigate reports of suspicious activity
provide excellent customer service while maintaining friendliness and professionalism
possess good judgment to handle day-to-day operations
perform all duties with pride and work well in an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation
