Job Description

Allied Universal is North America's leading security and facility services company known for providing rewarding career opportunities that give employees a strong sense of purpose. The company operates in a dynamic, welcoming, and collaborative environment and is committed to building a positive culture that impacts communities and customers they serve. Allied Universal specializes in comprehensive security solutions across various sectors, including corporate, government, healthcare, education, and retail, among others. Recognized for its dedication to professional excellence, cutting-edge technology, and customer service, Allied Universal continuously supports career growth and advancement within the security industry. Employees are supported through extensive training programs and flexible work arrangements to meet diverse personal and professional needs.

The Hybrid Security Officer / Support Clerk role is a unique and specialized position offered by Allied Universal that combines frontline security responsibilities with administrative support duties. This hybrid role is ideal for candidates who desire a dynamic work environment where they can diversify their skills while engaging in tasks that vary from physical security patrols to intricate computer-based administrative responsibilities. Employees in this role will primarily perform Security Officer assignments, providing essential safety and security services such as patrolling premises on foot, escorting vendors and contractors, monitoring for security risks and policy compliance, responding promptly to emergencies, and maintaining detailed incident reports. Alongside these duties, employees will receive training to perform Support Clerk functions that include managing security service requests, maintaining post orders, updating databases, coordinating staffing needs with scheduling and leadership, and providing exceptional customer service to client stakeholders.

The position offers competitive pay rates with $25.00 per hour for Security Officer activities and $30.00 per hour for Support Clerk assignments. The work schedule is flexible and can include weekends, holidays, evening and overnight shifts, and short-notice scheduling to accommodate operational demands. Support Clerks must be available to start shifts during three key windows of the day: 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM. These windows ensure adequate coverage for administrative security functions that are critical to day-to-day operations.

This role offers substantial opportunities for professional growth and skill development in both security operations and administrative management. Employees gain valuable experience in client service, operational coordination, and database management, contributing to career advancement beyond traditional security roles. The hybrid responsibilities provide an enriched work experience that allows employees to demonstrate leadership, attention to detail, multitasking capability, and a high level of professional communication in a fast-paced work environment.

Allied Universal maintains a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal employment opportunities for all qualified applicants regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, veteran status, or disability. The company also offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and vacation time.
