The Security Officer Driving Patrol position in Fort Collins, CO, is a full-time role designed for individuals passionate about maintaining safety and security through active patrol duties. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will play a crucial role in protecting clients across various industries by conducting routine vehicle patrols and monitoring assigned areas to deter and detect security incidents. This position blends strong customer service skills with vigilant security practices, requiring calm, clear communication and quick, decisive responses in critical situations. The Security Officer Driving Patrol is expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism while executing site-specific policies and emergency response protocols. Working primarily during daytime and evening shifts, you will be the visible presence that helps ensure a secure and safe environment for staff, visitors, and property. Job Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to undergo a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations
  • Proficient with basic computer or tablet use preferred
  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement is a plus
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site
  • Monitor assigned areas during driving patrols to deter and report suspicious activities
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management to ensure security protocols are followed
  • Maintain accurate logs and incident reports in a timely manner
  • Use provided security technology tools to enhance patrol efficiency and record keeping
