Job Description
OpServe Safety Group is a professional safety and security services company specializing in providing expert coverage for concerts, festivals, venues, and special events primarily in the Maryland area, including Baltimore, Frederick, Hagerstown, and Westminster. Committed to professionalism, preparation, and respect, OpServe Safety Group ensures that live events are safe, enjoyable, and well-managed for all participants including fans, artists, staff, and families. Unlike conventional security companies that focus solely on enforcement, OpServe emphasizes creating a welcoming and secure environment that encourages positive experiences while maintaining safety protocols.
The company is currently hiring Event Safety Agents for immediate opportunities with upcoming high-attendance events in Baltimore and surrounding Maryland locations. This role is event-based with flexible scheduling and offers a starting pay of $21 per hour for licensed Maryland security agents. It is an ideal position for individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings where attentiveness, communication, and professionalism are paramount.
As an Event Safety Agent with OpServe, you will be an integral part of the onsite team responsible for keeping live events safe, organized, and running smoothly. Your tasks will involve monitoring assigned posts such as entry gates, access control points, stage areas, and perimeter positions. These positions require maintaining a professional and alert presence while staying aware of the environment and effectively communicating with other team members and supervisors.
The role requires hands-on involvement throughout events, providing guest assistance, supporting event staff, and addressing any situations that arise, including managing access, directing attendees, mitigating disruptive behavior, and assisting emergency response when necessary. Agents must be engaged, alert, and ready to operate in environments that can involve large crowds, long periods of standing or patrolling, and high energy activity. The fundamental expectation is to remain professional at all times, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone at the event.
OpServe prioritizes hiring individuals who demonstrate reliability, professionalism, accountability, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Candidates should be comfortable in energetic event environments and able to physically sustain the demands of the role. A Maryland Security License is required or the ability to obtain one is necessary to qualify for this position. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in military, law enforcement, or event security roles.
Joining OpServe Safety Group means becoming part of a licensed and insured professional security company recognized for upholding a culture of respect, empathy, and professionalism. Employees work in exciting settings such as concerts, festivals, and major live events, contributing directly to community safety and memorable experiences. The company offers opportunities for repeat assignments and encourages applicants to submit complete and accurate applications to facilitate a swift interview process and hiring decision.
