Job Duties
- Acknowledge and greet all guests in a prompt and courteous manner
- verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals and vehicles
- assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
- monitor and detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and other criminal behavior
- monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
- patrol the perimeter (interior and exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
- warn violators of infractions such as loitering, smoking and possession of prohibited items
- respond to calls of distress, alarms and emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
- identify and report any and all concerns including safety, security breaches and unusual circumstances in a timely manner
- ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation such as reports and documents
- ensure all rules and regulations are being enforced and followed
- perform other duties as determined by management
- push and report all appropriate operational matters in real-time directly to the SOC Manager
- provide excellent customer service to all parties encountered while on duty
- act on all customer service related calls and either resolve them personally or refer issues to appropriate individuals
- manage communications for emergency and non-emergency calls-for-service including phone and email workstations
- monitor email inboxes, work order service requests and all communications devices
- prioritize and process incoming information according to procedure
- establish, maintain and review schedules
- assist in the supervision and management of team of security officers including training, coaching, development and support
- handle all escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately
- coordinate emergency incidents with security team
- notify, assist and direct external emergency personnel and internal Emergency Response Team as necessary
- acknowledge alarms and dispatch personnel as needed
- participate in regular training and scenario based security drills
- understand and execute emergency SOC protocols and general service SOC protocols
- perform SOC related projects and tasks as requested by the SOC Manager or Director of Operations
- compile daily SOC activities into daily shift reports
- accurately ensure detailed shift pass-downs are issued and followed
- compile monthly, quarterly and annual SOC statistical data
- author incident reports as described in SOC protocols
- perform other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as assigned
