Security Command Center (SCC) Assistant Manager

The SOC Operator position is a pivotal role within Securitas, responsible for managing and operating Security Command Centers (SCCs) located in Newark and Moorestown, New Jersey. This full-time role operates Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, offering a competitive pay rate of $37.00 per hour. The position focuses on maintaining safe and secure environments for clients by conducting law enforcement radio monitoring with event logging and recording, monitoring alarm systems for intrusion detection, emergency dispatching, incident reporting, analysis, and remote alarm panel programming.

This role requires operational leadership and hands-on responsibility for Security Command Center functions, including overseeing personnel performance, recruitment, and training, ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance such as NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), and managing technical systems like access control, CCTV, intercom, and radio communications. The SOC Operator assists the SCC Manager in planning and executing security operations, continuously reviewing security procedures to minimize risks, coordinating maintenance of security equipment, and supporting investigative processes with accurate recordkeeping and evidence management.

A key part of the job involves the use of complex technology systems such as AMAG NERC Access Control, Dataminr External Situational Awareness Tool, and the AMAG/Symmetry Access Control Integration System. The role also includes participation in audit functions, compliance reporting, and contributing to the development and revision of business processes related to regulatory demands, including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Securitas seeks a candidate with extensive prior operations experience in guard force operations or security command centers, alongside strong computer skills to manage and utilize sophisticated security management systems effectively. The ability to communicate professionally with diverse stakeholders, maintain vigilance and attention to detail throughout shifts, and flexibility in work responsibilities are essential traits for success in this role.
