The position entails patrolling and inspecting various areas of the hotel, including public spaces, meeting rooms, entrances, back-of-house areas, office towers, garages, and external buildings, using systems like Tour Pro for effective monitoring. The role requires a vigilant approach to identifying and responding to unauthorized persons or vehicles, securing doors, removing safety hazards, and documenting all activities and any incidents in detailed reports to ensure transparency and accountability.

Security personnel are expected to handle investigations concerning theft, injury, property damage, or other infractions that may affect the safety and operations of the hotel. Collaboration is key, as the role involves working professionally and cooperatively with management, staff, and guests to expedite guests’ needs promptly and courteously. Additional responsibilities include driving the hotel shuttle safely while adhering to local and airport rules, assisting guests with luggage and valet parking, supporting front desk personnel when required, and contributing to seasonal tasks such as snow removal at entrances and walkways.

Job Duties

  • Regularly patrols and inspects assigned areas including public areas, meeting rooms, entrances, back of the house areas, office tower, garage and outside buildings using Tour Pro system
  • Checks all areas for unauthorized persons or vehicles and takes appropriate action
  • Secures doors and eliminates fire and safety hazards
  • Writes detailed reports of duties performed during scheduled shifts
  • Investigates incidents related to theft, injury, property damage, or infractions, prepares detailed incident reports and enters them into the shift database
  • Follows department procedures and completes all necessary forms per shift
  • Assists guests with luggage and valet parking
  • Drives hotel shuttle safely and courteously, assists guests with baggage while boarding and offloading, and complies with state laws and airport rules for shuttle vehicles
  • Notifies MOD when leaving and returning to the building
  • Works cooperatively and professionally with management, staff and guests, expediting guest needs professionally and courteously
  • Adapts to daily hotel activity levels
  • Assists with snow removal at entrances, exits and walkways
  • Assists front desk personnel when needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
