The role available is a full-time Loss Prevention and Security Manager position within The Ritz-Carlton South Beach. This management role offers an annual salary range of $57,000 to $78,000 and includes eligibility for performance bonuses. As the Loss Prevention and Security Manager, you will oversee the daily functions of the department to ensure the protection of the hotel's physical assets, employees, guests, and property. You will manage risk assessment, security protocols, emergency preparedness, and compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring that all activities align with The Ritz-Carlton's gold standards of service and safety. The role demands strong leadership skills to train staff on emergency procedures, monitor safety audits, oversee security operations including patrols and electronic surveillance, and coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services.

Your responsibilities will include managing fire prevention programs in partnership with the Director of Engineering, conducting regular safety audits such as OSHA compliance reviews, and developing procedures for property shutdown and key control. You will ensure all security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and duress alerts, are regularly checked and fully operational. Maintaining logs and certifications is essential for legal compliance and smooth operation of security processes.

Beyond security, this position emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service. You will lead your team to maintain professionalism and high standards in guest interactions, settling disputes diplomatically, and reinforcing a safe environment that enhances guest satisfaction and retention. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in security or loss prevention
  • Or two-year degree in Criminal Justice or related major
  • Two years experience in security or loss prevention
  • Ability to conduct hazard and risk assessments
  • Skilled in emergency procedures and fire prevention
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Capable of overseeing security technology and reports
  • Willingness to work full time
  • Eligible for relocation assistance

Job Qualifications
