Job Description
St. Luke's is a well-established healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to the communities it serves. Known for its commitment to patient-centered care and community wellbeing, St. Luke's operates multiple campuses and facilities where health and safety are paramount. The institution values professionalism, compassion, and integrity in every aspect of its service delivery, fostering a supportive work environment for its employees. St. Luke's is recognized for offering competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth. It adheres strictly to equal opportunity principles by ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace free of discrimination or bias.
The role of Security Access Specialist at St. Luke's is a flexible, part-time position designed to assist in maintaining the safety and security of visitors and staff across multiple campuses. Working under direct supervision, the Security Access Specialist primarily focuses on screening and monitoring guests as they arrive and depart, identifying potential security threats and using conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques to manage situations effectively. The role involves greeting guests warmly, providing accurate information about the facilities, and assisting with mobility or transportation needs such as golf carts, shuttles, or wheelchairs.
In addition to monitoring, the specialist may log visitor information using electronic monitoring systems, handle minor concerns independently, and escalate more complex issues to senior security personnel. The position may also involve physically assisting guests by opening vehicle doors or helping with personal belongings, alongside occasional support for valet services. The Security Access Specialist plays a crucial role in upholding a safe and welcoming environment, which aligns with St. Luke's mission of compassionate community care. This role is not benefit eligible and is subject to St. Luke's driving policies, requiring a clean driving record for specific offenses. This opportunity suits individuals who are attentive, courteous, and eager to contribute to a secure, supportive atmosphere for both guests and staff in a healthcare setting.
