Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in daily preparation and serving of high-quality food
  • Supervise security, storage, and proper handling of food and supplies
  • Enforce and maintain cleanliness, health, employee practices, and safety standards in the cafeteria
  • Oversee production and serving of meals
  • Assist in preparation of main entrees and baked goods
  • Ensure all cafeteria equipment is safe, clean, and operational
  • Comply with and accommodate special diet restrictions for students
  • Determine food and supply quantities and submit timely orders
  • Plan daily work schedules and instruct cafeteria employees
  • Oversee employee time cards, payroll and personnel records
  • Evaluate cafeteria employee performance as needed
  • Serve as on-site Food and Nutrition resource for staff, parents, and students
  • Represent the department and district positively
  • Coordinate special events and work flexible hours as needed
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and complete necessary paperwork
  • Maintain accurate records and submit reports to the central office
  • Ensure regular attendance and fulfill other assigned duties
