The role of Electronic Assembler at Positronic involves assembling electronic components, subassemblies, and systems by meticulously following work orders and production drawings. Employees in this role are responsible for ensuring quality and precision in their assembly tasks while complying with safety regulations. The job requires proficiency in reading technical documents, using hand tools, and completing intermediate manufacturing tasks such as potting, sanding, and color coding. The assembler is also tasked with inspecting parts through basic testing methods and installing finished assemblies into enclosures. This position demands high levels of manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks. The role supports Positronic’s standards by identifying workplace hazards, collaborating with environmental health and safety departments for regulatory adherence, and supporting quality assurance in alignment with AS9100 certification standards. Working conditions often include interaction with loud machinery and exposure to nitrogen-based chemicals, making adherence to personal protective equipment protocols crucial. This role is based on the second shift schedule from Tuesday to Friday, 3:45 pm to 2:15 am, making it suitable for candidates seeking evening shift work. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 months of experience or training
  • an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • must pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC program
  • frequent sitting, walking, and standing
  • occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • constant lifting of 0-20 lbs
  • occasional lifting up to 40 lbs
  • rare lifting up to 50 lbs
  • high level of hand and finger dexterity
  • constant use of hands and arms for technical work
  • PPE includes safety glasses, nitrile and heat-resistant gloves as needed
  • work is performed in production zone with frequent exposure to loud machines and nitrogen-based chemicals
  • position requires candidate to be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status)

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Read work orders and follow production drawings or instructions
  • assemble and secure parts using hand tools and fixtures
  • perform intermediate tasks such as potting, sanding, or color coding
  • inspect parts using basic testing methods
  • handle and install finished assemblies into enclosures
  • uphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence
  • identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator
  • collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices
  • work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards
  • comply with all company policies and procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned
