Job Description

Renowned for its dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences, Delaware North manages hospitality services at premier venues, including national parks, sports arenas, casinos, and resorts. With a rich heritage spanning over 100 years, the company prides itself on offering its employees unique career growth opportunities within a global framework. As a family-owned enterprise, Delaware North combines tradition with innovation to create memorable, high-quality services that meet the evolving needs of its diverse clientele.

This opportunity is based within Yellowstone General Stores, nestled in the heart of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming's famed and sprawling natural wonder. Yellowstone is the first national park in the United States, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, extensive hiking trails exceeding 1000 miles, numerous waterfalls, and thousands of geothermal features such as hot springs and geysers. Working in Yellowstone offers not only a chance to contribute to a unique hospitality environment but also an immersive experience into the remarkable wilderness and outdoor activities available. Employees of Yellowstone General Stores can enjoy dormitory-style housing or RV accommodations, a comprehensive employee meal program, and discounts, enhancing the overall quality of work-life balance.

The position available is for seasonal cooks for the 2026 Spring/Summer season, with an hourly wage ranging from $18.75 to $19.75. This role specifically involves preparing and cooking meals in a fast-paced kitchen setting while adhering to strict quality and safety standards. As a cook at Yellowstone General Stores, you will be directly involved in crafting extraordinary dining experiences that enhance guest satisfaction. This job demands effective communication with serving teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of meal orders, meticulous maintenance of cleanliness, and adherence to food safety protocols.

Ideal candidates are passionate about food preparation, enjoy working in dynamic environments, and can manage multiple tasks efficiently. Your responsibilities will include opening and closing kitchen duties, inventory management, and waste control, all critical in maintaining kitchen operations. The role also features benefits such as weekly pay, employee discounts on non-grocery items, flexible work hours averaging 32 to 40 hours weekly, and low-cost access to on-site urgent care.

Beyond the kitchen, life at Yellowstone General Stores offers abundant adventure opportunities—from wildlife watching to cycling, kayaking, and hiking. Seasonal employees have access to recreational programs, training and development for career growth, and the possibility to work at other Delaware North locations across the country. This job is suited for those seeking a meaningful seasonal role in hospitality within one of America’s most treasured natural settings, combining professional development with an unparalleled lifestyle experience. Join Delaware North and be part of a global family dedicated to excellence and innovation in hospitality.
