Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years relevant cooking experience
  • Valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical capability to perform kitchen duties requiring standing, lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50+ lbs
  • Strong adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Good verbal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years cooking experience in a high-volume banquet facility, hotel/conference center, or fine dining restaurant
  • Demonstrated ability to prep a grill, sauté, cook, and prepare sauces in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry heavy items up to 50+ lbs

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and serve food for the Food Services department including Commissary and Special Events
  • Assist at stations in the Commissary, ensuring a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace
  • Support and follow instructions from First Cooks
  • Properly close, wrap, label, and clean work areas in accordance with Food Services and health department protocols
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Handle physical tasks including lifting and maneuvering heavy items up to 50+ lbs
  • Work flexible hours including some weekends and holidays
