Job Description

The Lodge is a distinguished resort located in the heart of Sonoma, California, just steps away from the historic and picturesque Sonoma Plaza. This venue masterfully integrates the rich cultural heritage and unique charm of the region into every facet of its service and ambiance. By drawing inspiration from centuries-old local crafts, The Lodge offers guests an authentic and immersive experience that highlights the artistry and traditions of the area, including renowned local products such as wine, art, and olive oil. This connection to local culture is reflected not only in the physical environment but also in the deep pride and genuine hospitality demonstrated by the staff. Associates at The Lodge foster a welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel like locals, while locals enjoy a sense of friendship and community.

The role of Bartender at The Lodge is integral to maintaining the unparalleled guest experience the resort is known for. This position involves the set-up, mixing, serving, and clean-up duties associated with the bar area, always upholding strict quality standards and guest satisfaction. Bartenders at The Lodge are expected to follow established guidelines, procedures, and policies expressly designed for beverage safety and control in line with company standards. Beyond the technical aspects of drink preparation, bartenders serve as key representatives of the resort’s commitment to excellent customer service. Their duties extend to processing guest transactions with accuracy, managing inventory through liquor requisitions, and ensuring the bar is consistently stocked to meet demand. Compliance with state liquor laws is critical, and staff must consistently maintain established par levels.

Working as a bartender at The Lodge involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires excellent multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. The role demands physical endurance, as it requires standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying trays and supplies, and maneuvering in tight spaces near guests. The resort values professionalism, tact, and the ability to handle high-pressure or emotionally charged situations gracefully. Effective coordination with cocktail servers and team members ensures smooth service flow and enhances the overall guest experience.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18.47, reflecting the level of skill, responsibility, and guest interaction required. Candidates interested in this role should have at least six months of bartending experience and must be TIPS certified with bartending training. Applicants must be 21 years or older to comply with laws governing the service of alcoholic beverages. The Lodge embraces inclusivity and may provide reasonable accommodations to help individuals with disabilities perform essential job functions.

In summary, this Bartender role at The Lodge is more than mixing drinks; it is about being an ambassador of Sonoma's rich culture and tradition while delivering exceptional service in a carefully curated environment that honors local craftsmanship and community spirit. The Lodge offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a memorable guest experience in one of Northern California’s premier resort destinations.
