Job Description

Salish Lodge & Spa is a distinguished luxury resort nestled overlooking the breathtaking 268-foot Snoqualmie Falls in the Pacific Northwest. Known for being consistently ranked among the best small resorts worldwide, Salish Lodge offers an unparalleled guest experience characterized by its world-renowned spa, two exceptional restaurants featuring a luxuriously comfortable and memorable dining atmosphere, and an award-winning wine list. The resort is also equipped with a variety of nearby recreational activities, making it a preferred destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure. Conveniently located just 30 minutes east of downtown Seattle and within 40 minutes of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Salish Lodge & Spa blends natural beauty with refined hospitality in an idyllic setting.

Currently, Salish Lodge & Spa is seeking a Seasonal Valet Parker to join their dedicated team. This role is crucial in setting the first and last impression guests have of the resort by providing professional and courteous valet services. The Valet Parker is responsible for greeting guests warmly upon arrival, safely parking and retrieving their vehicles in line with the resort's high standards, and assisting with luggage delivery. Additionally, the position involves driving shuttles to support guest transportation needs and ensuring the overall safety and security of both guests and team members in all weather conditions. This role requires not only strong driving abilities but also a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences at every interaction.

The position is seasonal with an hourly pay rate starting at $17.13 plus tips, reflecting the opportunity to earn competitive compensation in addition to gratuities. The employer offers an inclusive culture fueled by core values such as accountability, creativity, enthusiasm, honesty, inclusion, and respect. Team members at Columbia Hospitality, the management company behind Salish Lodge, benefit from a culture that encourages personal growth and professional development. The company emphasizes a values-based environment where individuals feel supported and motivated to contribute to a welcoming and excellent guest service experience.

Valet Parkers are integral in supporting the Front Desk team by creating memorable and positive impressions for guests through their professionalism and hospitality. This role extends beyond task execution as it involves genuine interaction with guests – escorting them to and from their rooms, providing information about the resort’s offerings, local points of interest, and entertainment attractions. The role also includes practical duties like assisting with de-icing pavements and removing ice from guest windshields in colder months, providing a comprehensive service that ensures guest comfort and satisfaction.

Success in this position is measured by the ability to maintain the resort's image through an impeccable appearance and attitude, demonstrated safe driving and shuttle operation skills, and a proactive approach to guest service and safety. Valet Parkers at Salish Lodge & Spa receive substantial support and enjoy numerous perks such as paid time off, holiday pay, medical and dental benefits, retirement plans, discount offers on lodging and spa services, and access to employee assistance programs, enhancing their overall work-life balance and job satisfaction.
