Job Description
Intuit, a leading financial software company known worldwide, is seeking motivated and skilled individuals to join their team as Tax Associates at newly established TurboTax Store locations across the United States on a seasonal basis. Intuit is dedicated to powering prosperity around the world by offering innovative software solutions that simplify financial management and tax preparation for millions of people. TurboTax, one of Intuit's flagship products, is designed to empower users with expert guidance, user-friendly interfaces, and comprehensive support through both technology and professional assistance.
As a Tax Associate at a TurboTax Store, you will play a pivotal role in helping customers navigate their tax situations with confidence and clarity. This position uniquely blends tax expertise, community engagement, and entrepreneurial spirit. Tax Associates serve as trusted advisors, providing personalized tax advice and full-service tax return preparation, while fostering long-term relationships within the local community. Given the seasonal and sometimes year-round nature of this role, candidates will have an opportunity to build a sustainable client base and positively influence customers' financial well-being.
The role operates on-site at TurboTax retail or flagship locations, requiring a strong focus on customer interaction in both in-person and virtual settings. Tax Associates leverage TurboTax marketing support and cutting-edge software tools to engage prospects, nurture leads, and convert them into loyal clients. By participating in local events, leading outreach initiatives, and providing expert tax advice, Associates function as community ambassadors for TurboTax, helping to demystify taxes and create an accessible, welcoming environment.
In this nonexempt position, Tax Associates are responsible for handling a variety of tax situations, from simple to complex returns, including personal and business income, deductions optimization, and amendments. They conduct discovery sessions and tax reviews to minimize liabilities and maximize refunds, always aiming to provide clear and actionable advice for future tax planning. Intuit supports Associates with professional resources ensuring accurate, compliant, and client-focused tax solutions.
Candidates must have active credentials such as EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or be a Practicing Attorney with in-depth tax knowledge. A valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and relevant state licenses or certifications are also required. Intuit seeks individuals passionate about empowering customers and engaging with their communities. Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial drive, proficiency with tax preparation software, and a customer-centric mindset are critical for success in this role.
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with base pay varying by state, reflecting local market conditions and experience. Tax Associates are also eligible for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits in line with company programs. This position offers flexible scheduling options during tax season, accommodating career goals and availability.
Joining TurboTax as a Tax Associate means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization that values diversity, inclusion, and ongoing professional development possibilities. The role demands a balance of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, providing a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals' financial lives. If you are enthusiastic about taxes, community involvement, and helping others achieve financial prosperity, this seasonal opportunity with Intuit could be the perfect fit for you.
