Job Description

Stags' Leap Winery is one of Napa Valley's most historic estates, founded in 1893 and recognized as the original inspiration for the Stags Leap District AVA. This winery is renowned for producing elegant Cabernet Sauvignon, expressive Petite Sirah, and beautifully balanced Chardonnay. Steeped in rich history and legend, the winery’s 19th-century Manor House holds stories from prohibition-era parties to whispered ghost tales. The iconic leaping stag symbol featured on their label reflects the estate's enduring elegance and resilience, characteristics that are also expressed in the wines crafted by Stags' Leap Winery. Today, the winery continues to honor its legacy by producing wines that balance power and finesse, created with restraint, character, and a touch of mystery.

The Tasting Room Support Associate role at Stags' Leap Winery is a vital operational position dedicated to ensuring the smooth, efficient functioning of the tasting room in line with the winery's distinguished hospitality standards. This role supports the guest-facing team by preparing tasting spaces, restocking products, maintaining immaculate cleanliness, organizing necessary supplies, and handling various behind-the-scenes logistics. The associate’s work enables the hospitality team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining a professional and polished environment that reflects the heritage and elegance of Stags' Leap Winery.

In this role, the Tasting Room Support Associate will be instrumental in setting up tasting areas each day, managing inventory of wines and merchandise, and ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in high-traffic areas such as bars, guest spaces, and restrooms. The responsibilities extend to polishing glassware, dishwashing, and replenishing equipment, which are essential to preserving the top-tier service environment for which the winery is known. Additionally, the associate will actively support hospitality events, club gatherings, and VIP experiences, handling both set-up and breakdown tasks with efficiency and attention to detail.

Working at Stags' Leap Winery means becoming part of a team that values strong work ethic, organization, and a positive, professional, and collaborative approach. The role is physically active and fast-paced, requiring reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to work weekends, holidays, and during special events. While previous knowledge of wine and hospitality is welcomed, it is not mandatory as training is provided. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a winery deeply rooted in history and culture while gaining invaluable experience in the vibrant Napa Valley hospitality industry.

Stags' Leap Winery values its employees and offers competitive compensation, including hourly wages ranging from $18 to $22 per hour depending on experience and role scope. Additional incentive pay may be earned through the Direct-to-Consumer Sales Incentive Plan, along with tips that can significantly boost earnings. Benefits for this role include generous paid time off, parental leave, volunteer days, flexible work options, comprehensive health coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, exclusive wine perks and discounts, and an award-winning wellness program. The company also prides itself on its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring all qualified applicants have equal employment opportunities without discrimination.
