Job Description
Odell Brewing Company has been a cornerstone of the craft brewing community since its establishment in 1989. Rooted deeply in the culture of family, collaboration, and a passion for beer, Odell Brewing has grown into a respected brewery known for creating high-quality, hand-crafted, and innovative brews. The company’s commitment to exceptional customer service and community involvement is reflected not only in their products but also in their outreach and charitable giving programs. Since 2015, Odell Brewing has been uniquely owned through a combined management buyout and Employee Stock Ownership Program, empowering its co-workers as co-owners to maintain their culture of ownership, positivity, and innovation. The brewery continues to thrive while keeping Colorado at the core of its identity.
Expanding beyond their prominent craft beer offerings, Odell Brewing launched the OBC Wine Project, a natural extension of their passion for unique flavors and artisan beverage crafting. This venture into wine production reflects their dedication to quality and creativity, with a wine cellar and tasting room situated adjacent to the Fort Collins brewery. The wine project uniquely offers wine on tap, in cans, and bottles, distributed widely throughout Colorado and neighboring states. Both the brewery and wine project emphasize creating memorable guest experiences while fostering a team-oriented environment driven by education, community engagement, and innovation.
The Seasonal Taproom Associate plays a vital role in shaping the on-site experience for visitors to Odell Brewing and the OBC Wine Project taprooms. This seasonal position, running from April through early September with a flexible schedule up to 40 hours per week, demands individuals who thrive in fast-paced, guest-focused environments. Taproom Associates carry the responsibility of offering hospitable and memorable service, enhancing the guests’ experience with attentiveness, friendliness, and deep product knowledge. They are frontline representatives of Odell’s brand and culture, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed while maintaining the operational efficiencies of the taproom.
Key duties include bartending, serving both beer and wine with attention to quality standards, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the space. Associates will engage guests through tasting presentations, informative tours, and by sharing the story behind Odell’s craft beverages. Additionally, associates assist in inventory management, support special events, and uphold general operational responsibilities such as cash handling and draft line maintenance.
Successful candidates will be enthusiastic team members who exhibit a positive, motivated, and collaborative attitude. They should be knowledgeable or eager to learn about craft beer and wine, maintain composure in demanding situations, and actively contribute to an inclusive and diverse workplace culture. This position offers compensation of $12.14 per hour plus tips, with benefits including a 401(k) retirement plan, employee assistance programs, and perks such as beer, wine, and merchandise allotments. Odell Brewing Company values equality, offering employment opportunities without discrimination, and strongly supports a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and guests.
