Job Description
Eye Tooth is a well-established restaurant known for its vibrant atmosphere and dedication to exceptional guest service. Located in Anchorage, Alaska, the Eye Tooth provides a unique blend of dining and entertainment, giving patrons not only a place to enjoy delicious meals but also an engaging environment enriched with live performances and local culture. Operating as a seasonal establishment during the summer months, the Eye Tooth attracts a diverse crowd of locals and tourists eager to experience an outstanding outdoor dining venue with quality food, drinks, and memorable experiences.
Joining the Eye Tooth as a Server offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and customer service. This seasonal position lasts through the summer, concluding in mid-September, and is ideal for those looking for a dynamic work environment during the busy summer season. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every guest receives attentive, timely, and courteous service from the moment they enter the restaurant through the completion of their visit. You will be responsible for welcoming guests, guiding them through menu options, taking accurate food and beverage orders, delivering quality products efficiently, and processing payments with precision.
The role requires familiarity with restaurant operations, including using POS systems efficiently and adhering strictly to safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control regulations. You will work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and meet guests’ expectations. Maintaining product quality by properly handling, storing, and rotating food and beverages is an essential part of the job, along with promptly reporting any issues to management.
In addition to technical skills, the Eye Tooth values teamwork, kindness, and professionalism. Servers are expected to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues, contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, and support fellow team members. This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry heavy items, and work under fast-paced, sometimes noisy conditions.
The Eye Tooth also offers an exceptional benefits package for its employees, including profit share bonuses when the restaurant makes a profit, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401K plan with company matching. Employees enjoy paid time off, meal and drink plans, and unique perks such as free movie tickets at the Bear Tooth Theatrepub, free ski and snowboard lift passes at Alyeska, discounted memberships to the Alaska Rock Gym, and access to employee parties and merchandise discounts. This commitment to employee well-being and satisfaction makes the Eye Tooth a great place for individuals seeking meaningful seasonal employment with excellent benefits and a spirited working environment.
