Job Description

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is a prestigious luxury hotel brand with a rich heritage dating back to the early 20th century when the first St. Regis opened in New York under the guidance of John Jacob Astor IV. Currently, the brand boasts over 50 luxury hotels and resorts located in prime destinations worldwide. As part of Marriott International, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, St. Regis is committed to delivering exceptional, timeless service while blending classic sophistication with modern sensibility. Our team members are known for their warm hospitality, attention to detail, and dedication to creating memorable guest experiences that exceed expectations with exclusive services such as butler service.

St. Regis Newport Beach is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Food and Beverage team member to join its dynamic hospitality team. Located at the scenic 22701 Pelican Hill Rd S in Newport Beach, California, this non-management position offers a competitive pay rate of $16.90 per hour, and it is tip-eligible, providing the opportunity to enhance earnings through excellent service.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food and beverages, who enjoy engaging with guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting guests promptly, serving food and beverages with care and professionalism, providing knowledgeable menu recommendations, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. The position requires a proactive approach to guest service, maintaining impeccably prepared tables, managing transactions accurately via the MICROS point-of-sale system, and maintaining cleanliness and stock of dining supplies.

Candidates do not require prior supervisory experience but should demonstrate good conversational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well within a team. While previous experience as a waiter or waitress is advantageous, it is not mandatory, making this a great opportunity for newcomers to the hospitality industry or individuals seeking to advance their careers in a renowned luxury hospitality brand.

The role requires physical stamina as team members must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, and be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining a professional appearance with a clean uniform. Comprehensive training and certification in safety procedures will be provided before employment to ensure the well-being of staff and guests.

As part of the global St. Regis family under Marriott International, employees enjoy numerous benefits that support their personal and professional growth. These include discounts on hotel rooms, gift shop items, and food and beverages, along with opportunities for learning and development, structured recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and the support of a motivated management team and cooperative colleagues. This supportive environment fosters a strong sense of teamwork and enables employees to thrive within a culturally diverse and inclusive workplace.

Joining St. Regis means entering a world where you can truly make a difference by combining your passion for hospitality with rewarding work experiences. Employees get the chance to interact with a diverse, international clientele and develop their skills through different avenues within the hospitality industry. This position is a stepping stone to many other opportunities within the Marriott International portfolio where you can continue to grow and find a career path that suits your aspirations. Here, you will have the chance to perform your best work, realize your purpose, and become your best self in a nurturing, global team setting.
