The part-time Server position at JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes is a seasonal role from Memorial Day through Labor Day, specifically requiring availability on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 AM to 9 PM. This role sits within the Food and Beverage and Culinary category and is non-management in nature. As a Server, your primary responsibility is to provide outstanding service by serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests while maintaining high standards and adherence to company policies and safety protocols. You will be responsible for setting tables according to the type of event and service standards, answering questions regarding menu selections, and effectively communicating with the kitchen staff about meal requirements, allergies, special requests, and any issues related to order preparation. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- at least 1 year of related work experience
- no supervisory experience required

- basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
Job Duties
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
- set tables according to type of event and service standards
- answer questions on menu selections
- communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability
- communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
- record transactions in MICROS system at time of order
- check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
- maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware throughout the day
- complete closing duties including restocking items and turning off lights
- present accurate check to guest and process payment
- follow all company and safety policies and procedures
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
- complete safety training and certifications
- maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
- protect company assets and maintain confidentiality
- welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
- anticipate and address guests' service needs
- assist individuals with disabilities
- develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- support team to reach common goals
- listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees
