We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team at The Resort at Pelican Hill. This is a full-time, non-management position offering an hourly wage of $16.90 with tip eligibility. As a Food and Beverage Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering professional, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to our guests. Your responsibilities will include setting up and cleaning tables, serving water, bread, and coffee, and greeting guests warmly. You will ensure the cleanliness and presentation of service items such as china, glass, and silverware, maintaining impeccable standards throughout the meal service.
In addition to serving guests, you will perform essential closing duties, such as storing reusable goods, cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and securing dining areas. Adhering to company safety and security policies is paramount, and you will be responsible for reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions and completing required safety training. Maintaining a neat and professional appearance, upholding confidentiality, and fostering positive relationships with teammates are expected to support a cohesive and efficient work environment.
This role requires excellent communication skills, physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods, and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely. You will also need to navigate various terrain within the resort and perform tasks requiring precise motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Job Duties
- Provide professional, courteous and efficient presentation of food and beverage service to all guests
- Clean and set up tables in the outlet and perform other food service related duties including general cleaning and set up
- Serve water, bread and coffee and greet guests by name whenever possible during the course of meal service
- Stack trays properly for efficient unloading for stewarding and ensure proper safety standards at all times
- Complete closing duties including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist
- Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
- Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use
