Job Description

Music & Arts is the nation's leading partner in K-12 music education, passionately dedicated to nurturing the creativity and musical talents of students across the United States. Established in 1952, the company has evolved from a small music business in Bethesda, Maryland, into the largest band and orchestra instrument retailer in the country. Music & Arts operates over 225 retail stores, more than 200 educational representatives, and around 250 affiliate locations. Now part of the Guitar Center enterprise and headquartered in Frederick, Maryland, Music & Arts continues to drive its mission of fostering lifelong musicianship and making a positive impact on communities through music education and instrument accessibility.

As a seasonal Event Specialist with Music & Arts, you will play a vital role in bringing school instrument rental events to life within your assigned area, working closely with Education Account Managers to ensure smooth and successful events. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy supporting families and students as they embark on their musical journeys. Your responsibilities will include setting up and breaking down rental events, managing inventory and paperwork, and delivering exceptional customer service to parents and students. Utilizing mobile and tablet tools, you will assist with the rental process, ensuring that families can quickly and efficiently secure their instruments. This role demands strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The flexibility to work evenings and travel between various event and prep locations within your marketplace is essential. Physical ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds is a requirement, given the hands-on nature of preparing and handling musical instruments and equipment.

Being part of Music & Arts means joining a company that values respect, integrity, and passion for music. The company fosters a supportive work culture where employees find their individual sound through creativity and teamwork. This seasonal role offers an excellent opportunity for those interested in the music industry, education, and community engagement, providing enriching experiences that contribute to the development of young musicians and the broader school community. If you are enthusiastic about helping others and possess the necessary skills, Music & Arts welcomes your application for this rewarding position.
