Job Description
Cinepolis USA is a premier luxury cinema exhibitor dedicated to providing an enhanced movie-going experience through its innovative theater concepts such as "Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas" and "Movie House & Eatery." Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Cinepolis USA operates 26 luxury and premium theaters across multiple states including California, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas, Maryland, and Ohio, with plans for further expansion. As the US division of Cin16polis International, the world's most popular movie theater exhibitor, the company is committed to delivering exceptional film, food, and hospitality experiences to its audience globally. Cinepolis USA fosters a culture of excellence, innovation, and outstanding customer service that lights up the lives of guests and team members alike.
Working as a Runner at Cinepolis USA offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading entertainment company that values its employees and their contributions. This non-exempt position reports directly to the General Manager within the Operations department at theater locations. The role focuses on enhancing the guest experience by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food and beverage orders directly to moviegoers in their seats. As a Runner, you will play a crucial role in making sure guests have everything they need to enjoy their meal and movie, embodying the company’s commitment to "Nice and Amazing Service." The salary range for this role is $15.50 to $19.50 per hour, reflecting the company’s competitive pay scale for service roles.
The Runner position at Cinepolis is much more than simply delivering orders; it represents an integral part of the hospitality experience that differentiates Cinepolis from other cinemas. Runners are responsible for collaborating closely with kitchen staff and expediters to guarantee food arrives fresh, accurately, and simultaneously to guests, reinforcing a seamless in-seat dining experience. This role requires attentiveness to detail, excellent communication skills, and a warm, hospitable attitude. You will assist guests by guiding them through the menu and suggesting promotions or add-ons, all while maintaining commitment and integrity.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in auditoriums, assisting team members as needed with various operational tasks such as ticket scanning and restocking, and managing guest concerns or directing them to proper resources. Runners must be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the entertainment industry. The physical demands include walking, bending, standing for extended periods, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance, making physical stamina and agility important.
Cinepolis USA is deeply invested in employee recognition and advancement, offering perks such as free employee tickets, free popcorn and soda during shifts, 50% food and beverage discounts, free meals during shifts of four hours or more, and unique recognition rewards like private watch parties and digital marketing spotlights. The company actively encourages professional growth through strategic development plans and internal promotional opportunities, making this an excellent role for individuals passionate about service, entertainment, and career development in hospitality and cinema operations.
Cinepolis USA prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment. The company does not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected characteristic. Joining Cinepolis means becoming part of a vibrant team that values fun, film, and food - all delivered with extraordinary service to create memorable experiences for guests and team members alike.
