Job Description

The Resort at Pelican Hill, located in Newport Beach, California, is a premier luxury resort known for its breathtaking ocean views, impeccable service, and attention to detail. Nestled on the picturesque coastline, this resort offers guests an unforgettable experience combining the natural beauty of Southern California with exquisite amenities and world-class hospitality. Operated under the prestigious Marriott International portfolio, The Resort at Pelican Hill upholds a rich legacy of excellence and innovation in the hospitality industry. With its commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences and fostering a supportive work environment, the resort stands out as an employer of choice in the region.

This opportunity is for a Full-Time, Non-Management Food and Beverage team member at The Resort at Pelican Hill. The position offers a competitive hourly pay of $16.90 plus tips and is ideal for individuals passionate about the culinary and hospitality fields. The role centers on delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests by providing attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service. As a Food and Beverage team member, your responsibilities will include welcoming guests, serving food and beverages, sharing menu expertise, and ensuring a hospitable atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Working in the food and beverage department at such a high-end resort requires not only a positive and outgoing personality but also attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to respond to guests' needs promptly and professionally.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and wants to build a career in the hospitality industry. Whether you are new to the hotel and food service industry or have previous experience as a server, you will find a supportive environment focused on your professional growth and development. The Resort at Pelican Hill offers a wide array of benefits, such as learning and development programs, wellness initiatives, and employee recognition, all aimed at supporting your success both inside and outside the workplace.

By joining the team, you will play a fundamental part in creating memorable dining experiences that guests will cherish long after their stay. Your efforts in greeting guests warmly, ensuring timely service, and maintaining clean and well-stocked dining areas will contribute directly to the resort's reputation for excellence. Moreover, you will benefit from working in an inspiring environment where diversity and inclusion are valued, reflecting Marriott International's commitment to equal opportunity employment. This position also involves physical activity, including lifting up to 25 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods, so a good level of fitness and a professional appearance in uniform are required.

At The Resort at Pelican Hill, hospitality is more than just a job—it is a chance to combine your passion for food and beverage with a rewarding career path. You will have the opportunity to interact with people worldwide and broaden your horizons while honing your skills and exploring various career paths within hospitality. With a solid foundation, extensive support, and ample opportunities for advancement, your role as a Food and Beverage team member will be both fulfilling and impactful.
