Job Description

Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center is a premier hospitality destination located in Nashville, Tennessee. Known for its grand scale and exceptional service, the resort is part of the Gaylord Hotels portfolio under Marriott International, a global leader in the hotel and hospitality industry. The resort offers world-class accommodations, dining, entertainment, and extensive convention facilities that make it a sought-after venue for travelers, meetings, and special events. Gaylord Opryland Resort prides itself on delivering memorable experiences that go beyond typical hotel stays by combining Southern charm, creativity, and innovative guest services in a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere.

The Guest Service Support Expert role at Gaylord Opryland Resort is an essential position within the Food and Beverage department that focuses on enhancing the guest experience through reliable support services. This full-time, non-management position offers a pay rate of $15.00 per hour and is based on-site at the Nashville location. The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to smooth food and beverage operations by assisting with a variety of tasks including setting tables, supporting kitchen staff, cleaning work areas, and ensuring that supplies are replenished in a timely manner. This job emphasizes the importance of creating not just a meal, but a complete and memorable dining experience where every detail matters.

In this role, Guest Service Support Experts are expected to maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and professionalism at all times. They play an active part in upholding safety standards and company policies, ensuring that all transactions and guest interactions are handled with care and attention. The position requires physical stamina as the work involves standing, walking, and moving over different surfaces for extended periods. It also necessitates the ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Candidates should be prepared to engage fully with their work environment, demonstrating flexibility and hands-on effort across various duties.

Preferred qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, though no prior related work experience is necessary. Previous experience in a food and beverage environment is advantageous but not mandatory. The role does not require supervisory experience or special licenses or certifications. Gaylord Hotels, under Marriott International’s umbrella, embraces diversity and inclusion, providing equal opportunity for all applicants. The company culture celebrates diverse backgrounds and encourages employees to bring their authentic selves to work, fostering a collaborative and respectful workplace.

By joining Gaylord Opryland Resort, employees become STARs—representing creativity, dedication, and hospitality excellence. The employer invests in the personal and professional growth of its employees, offering a variety of career pathways and opportunities for advancement within the expansive Marriott International network. This makes the Guest Service Support Expert position at Gaylord not only a job but a step toward a rewarding career in hospitality, where individuals can thrive and contribute to creating outstanding guest experiences every day.
