Job Description
Omni Louisville Hotel is a distinguished landmark located in the heart of Louisville, Kentucky, representing a blend of the city's rich heritage and vibrant future. This premier hotel not only serves as a significant urban development but also as a cultural hub that brings together visitors, residents, and locals alike to experience the best that Louisville has to offer. The hotel's architecture makes a striking impression, with its iconic glassy ends and a towering 612-room facility that is both a daytime beacon and a glowing presence at night. Its unique design integrates indoor and outdoor spaces flawlessly, featuring a pool and rooftop bar that provide a perfect setting for relaxation, socializing, and enjoying the picturesque downtown skyline of Louisville. The Omni Louisville Hotel honors Louisville's spirit through interior design details that reflect the city's heritage and character, including distinctive spaces such as a bourbon bar, a speakeasy, and even a bowling alley, making it a unique destination within the hospitality industry. Connected directly to the hotel lobby is the Falls City Market, a dynamic 20,000-square-foot urban food hall and grocer that transforms Liberty Street into a bustling pedestrian hub. This market offers guests and the local community a broad selection of food and dessert options, craft beers, bakery items, and local favorites, further enhancing the guest experience by weaving the city's culinary culture into their stay. As a part of the Omni Louisville team, individuals find themselves in a welcoming environment that values enthusiasm, motivation, and a passion for serving others. The hotel prides itself on delivering exceptional food and beverage services and is currently seeking to expand its team during the peak season to uphold these high standards. The role of Pool Barback (Seasonal Hotel Food and Beverage Bar Houseman) is integral to maintaining the seamless flow of operations in the hotel's busy food and beverage division. This position requires a team-oriented individual who is ready to assist with everything from event setups to replenishing bar supplies, supporting bartenders and servers, and ensuring dining areas and back-of-house spaces meet the cleanliness and hygiene standards expected by guests. Candidates must be eager to contribute to a positive guest experience by being responsive to guest needs, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and performing a variety of tasks that keep the hotel's vibrancy and service quality at its peak. This position calls for flexibility, physical stamina, and essential certifications such as STAR and Food Handlers certification. The job also demands excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in tight quarters and dynamic settings. Additionally, the Omni Louisville Hotel emphasizes equal opportunity employment and is committed to providing assistance to those who require it during the application process, showcasing its dedication to inclusivity and diversity in the workplace. Joining the Omni Louisville Hotel team promises not just a job but an opportunity to be part of an iconic Louisville landmark where rich tradition meets modern hospitality excellence.
