The role available at El Lido House is a part-time, non-management position in the Food and Beverage and Culinary category, offering an hourly pay rate of $29.20. This position provides opportunities for culinary associates to access online training through a partnership with Rouxbe, a leading culinary school platform. The training is designed to support associates at all experience levels, providing hundreds of well-structured and engaging lessons that can be immediately applied on the job, helping to grow their culinary careers.
The primary responsibilities of this role include preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation criteria, and food preparation checklists. The associate will be responsible for ingredient preparation such as portioning, chopping, and storing food items before cooking. Safe and proper use of tools, equipment, and appliances is crucial, as well as adherence to food safety policies and personal hygiene protocols. Ensuring that the temperature of cooking appliances and food is accurate and reporting any issues to management is part of the duties. The associate will also clean and sanitize kitchen areas, organize and maintain workstations, and closely monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout their shift. Employees must comply with all company policies, including safety regulations, and report accidents or unsafe conditions to supervisors. The role demands a professional appearance with a clean uniform and personal hygiene, confidentiality of proprietary information, and protection of company assets. Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting professionally with team members and handling phone calls appropriately.
