Job Description

EDITION Hotels represents a unique blend of visionary boutique hospitality, combining the expertise of renowned hotelier Ian Schrager, the exemplary service standards of a world-class luxury hotel, and the expansive global presence of Marriott International. This distinguished brand disrupts conventional luxury by merging polish and personality, perfectionism and individualism, comfort and charisma. The EDITION brand is dedicated to serving discerning, sophisticated guests who prioritize quality, originality, innovative design, and exceptional service excellence. These guests seek an experience that transcends traditional expectations and rather offers an immersive environment rich in attitude, distinctive charm, and authenticity.

The Roof at EDITION Hotels, located at 9040 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, California, epitomizes this ethos by delivering an exceptional dining experience that combines ambiance with excellent culinary offerings and premium beverage selections. As a part-time, non-management team member, you will join a dynamic, diverse workplace culture committed to inclusivity, professional growth, and collaboration under Marriott International’s globally recognized values. The position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $20.00 to $20.22 and is tip-eligible, reflecting the premium service standards expected from our staff.

In this role, you will serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests in an environment that demands attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. You will be responsible for setting tables according to event type and service protocols, answering menu-related questions, and liaising between guests and kitchen staff to ensure meal accuracy and accommodate dietary needs or requests. Operational diligence is key, including accurate order entry using the MICROS system, routine checks on guest satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of service areas throughout shifts.

Safety and security are paramount, with expectations to follow all organizational policies, report any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly, and engage actively in required safety training. The role requires physical stamina and agility to handle prolonged standing, walking, and moving objects, sometimes up to 25 pounds independently or heavier with assistance. Above all, this position calls for a team-oriented mindset, a commitment to professional presentation, and the ability to foster positive working relationships within a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.

This seasonal position at The Roof offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in Marriott International’s culture of inclusivity and innovation. Marriott International promotes equal employment opportunities, embracing diversity across all backgrounds, including disability and veteran status. They uphold confidentiality, protect corporate assets, and strive to create a workplace where exceptional service emerges naturally from genuine passion, rather than scripted protocols. By joining EDITION, you become part of a global portfolio of brands where you can thrive professionally, connect with an amazing team, and cultivate your best self within one of the most respected companies in hospitality worldwide.
