The role of Seasonal Valet Parker at Boston Harbor Hotel is critical in upholding the high standards of guest services within the Guest Services - Valet department. Reporting directly to the Director of Front Office Operations, the Valet Parker is a non-exempt, seasonal position running from May through September. The individual in this role is responsible for providing exceptional valet parking services to guests and outlet patrons, ensuring their vehicles are handled professionally and securely. The position requires not only technical driving skills, including handling vehicles with manual transmissions, but also a warm and service-oriented approach to greet and assist arriving and departing guests.

Valet Parkers must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, self-direction, and motivation to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Effective communication in English is essential, while additional language skills may be advantageous.

Job Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license with current address and an acceptable driving record
- ability to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission is preferred
- at least 1 year of experience in guest services or related field
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- willingness to work seasonally from May through September

Job Duties
- Inspect each vehicle before taking possession and mark tickets of findings, inform customers of valet rate
- report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the manager
- have a thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the hotel to be able to provide guest and patrons directions to various locations in the area, if needed
- observe all traffic laws and safe driving practices
- ensure prompt professional response to all guest requests for service
- assist and relieve door staff and bell staff as requested and directed
- open the door for all guests and patrons entering and exiting the hotel
- maintaining the lobby entrance vestibule including cleaning, vacuuming, etc. as needed
- acknowledge any approaching guest warmly and assist however needed
- perform in a standard as well as an automatic automobile
- maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area
- complete all other assignments, duties and tasks as assigned by the concierge and director of guest services
