Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds
- Effective communication skills including telephone etiquette
- Ability to follow company safety and security policies
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No related work experience required
- No supervisory experience required
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of basic food and beverage service protocols
- Familiarity with MICROS system is a plus
- Strong customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Take room service orders over the phone
- Answer questions on menu selections and check with kitchen staff
- Answer guest questions about wines including origin, vintage, and style
- Place and log room service orders in the MICROS system
- Notify guests and management of delays in service delivery
- Communicate dietary needs, allergies, and special requests to kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
