Job Description

Odell Brewing Company (OBC) is a renowned and independent craft brewery established in 1989. Rooted in a culture of family and collaboration, Odell Brewing has developed a passionate team focused on producing quality, hand-crafted, and innovative beers. The brewery emphasizes community, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to positive contributions through outreach and charitable programs. Unique to Odell Brewing is its employee ownership model, established in 2015 through a management buyout and Employee Stock Ownership Program, which fosters a culture of collective leadership and ownership among its workers. This approach empowers every team member to contribute, educate, innovate, and maintain Colorado's essence in all that they do.

The Sloan's Lake location is a centerpiece of Odell Brewing’s community-driven ethos, featuring a 10-barrel pilot brewhouse and a scratch pizza kitchen. This site offers 16 Odell tap handles across two bars and a scenic rooftop patio that overlooks Sloan’s Lake and the Rocky Mountains, enhancing the customer and employee experience. It serves as the experimental hub where new brews are crafted exclusively for this location. This vibrant site promotes a busy, supportive, and positive work environment where team members thrive under high volume and community focus.

The Kitchen Team position at Odell Brewing’s Sloan’s Lake Brewery invites culinary enthusiasts to join a collaborative and creative environment for the summer season. The role involves preparing scratch pizzas, salads, and other inspired Colorado dishes while enjoying the craft culture and unique brewpub atmosphere. This seasonal position requires availability for both lunch and dinner shifts from Wednesday through Sunday, often extending onto weekends and offering a schedule of 30-40 hours per week with two consecutive days off each week. Employment occurs from June through early November.

Responsibilities in this role include rotating through different kitchen stations, working closely with other kitchen staff to ensure food preparation and service flow smoothly, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, and adhering to strict safety standards. Effective communication and fostering inclusivity for guests, co-workers, and the community are core aspects. Physical demands include standing for long shifts, lifting moderate weights, and working in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy, and hot kitchen setting.

Compensation ranges from $21 to $23 per hour based on experience, reflecting Odell Brewing’s adherence to fair pay principles under Colorado law. Benefits include a weekly beer or wine allotment, access to an Employee Assistance Program, and 50% discounts on shift meals. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Odell Brewing Company values diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants regardless of race, age, gender, disability, or other protected characteristics.
