Job Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of professional kitchen experience
  • Culinary training preferred
  • ServSafe training certification preferred or must complete certification provided by Cinepolis
  • Proficiency in kitchen operations and execution
  • Knowledge of U.S. measurements, weight and volume
  • Ability to follow safe use instructions for chemicals
  • Must work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to walk, lift, twist, bend, reach frequently
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations positively
  • Flexible working hours including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience
  • Culinary training preferred
  • Experience in dishwashing, prep cook, and expediting
  • Proficiency in kitchen operations
  • Knowledge of U.S. measurements, weight and volume
  • Ability to follow safety instructions for chemical and cleaning materials
  • Strong teamwork skills with supervisors and coworkers
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Good communication skills in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to handle stress positively
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items accurately and promptly as ordered through the point of sale system
  • Only prepare items ordered through the point of sale system
  • Accommodate special requests with management approval to enhance guest experience
  • Prepare dishes according to recipes to maintain quality and consistency
  • Cook menu items with kitchen staff to ensure simultaneous, high-quality, timely service
  • Remake items as instructed by a Supervisor or Manager
  • Adhere to food safety guidelines including temperature control, labeling, and avoiding cross contamination
  • Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes and cleaning work areas
  • Restock dry goods consistently throughout shift and at end of shift
  • Use FIFO system to keep food fresh and reduce waste
  • Maintain accurate waste logs for discarded items
  • Communicate inventory levels to supervisor and kitchen manager
  • Maintain professional and positive approach with coworkers and customers
  • Use safe working practices including wearing cutting gloves and staying hydrated
  • Lock and secure food and equipment
  • Follow all opening, mid and closing procedures
  • Attend trainings and meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
