Job Description
Cinepolis USA is a premier luxury cinema exhibitor renowned for delivering elevated movie-going experiences through its distinct theater concepts, including 'Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas' and 'Movie House & Eatery.' Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Cinepolis operates 26 luxury and premium theaters across several states such as California, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas, Maryland, and Ohio. The company has ambitious expansion plans to further extend their presence nationwide. As part of the global Cinépolis International family, the world's most popular movie theater exhibitor, Cinepolis USA remains dedicated to innovation, film, and hospitality on a global scale. This heritage of excellence extends to every customer encounter, supported by a culture that values its team members as the most important asset.
The role of Kitchen Staff at Cinepolis USA is vital to maintaining the high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction that patrons expect. This position is non-exempt and reports directly to the Kitchen Manager with no supervisory responsibilities. Kitchen Staff are tasked with preparing menu items promptly and consistently, adhering strictly to established recipes and operational guidelines. They help ensure all food is produced safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen work environment. The position offers an attractive base pay in the range of $16.90 to $19.50 per hour, reflecting the essential contribution team members make to the overall theater experience.
This role is perfect for individuals with at least one year of professional kitchen experience, including culinary training or equivalent skills in dishwashing, prep cooking, and expediting orders. However, entry-level candidates can also start as dishwashers or prep cooks, with strong opportunities for career growth within Cinepolis. Kitchen Staff are expected to demonstrate integrity by accurately preparing only the items ordered via the point-of-sale system and accommodating special guest requests with management approval to create personalized guest experiences.
Additionally, Kitchen Staff strictly follow food safety protocols, including proper temperature control, labeling, and preventing cross-contamination. Maintaining kitchen cleanliness, restocking dry goods, adhering to FIFO inventory systems, and using safe work practices like cutting gloves and hydration in hot environments are essential components of the job. The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight with assistance, and work effectively within a busy kitchen team. Excellent communication skills, the ability to handle stressful situations positively, and flexible availability, including holidays and weekends, are important for success in this position.
Cinepolis USA strives to provide an inclusive and supportive workplace, offering generous employee discounts on tickets, food, and beverages, as well as recognition for milestone work anniversaries. Joining Cinepolis means becoming part of a dynamic team committed to exceptional service and innovation in the entertainment and hospitality industry. The company maintains a strong equal employment opportunity policy, ensuring fairness and respect for all employees regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected characteristics. If you are passionate about food quality and customer service in a vibrant and growing company, the Kitchen Staff role at Cinepolis USA provides a rewarding career opportunity.
