Moreover, the position requires maintaining a meticulously clean and well-organized bar area, ensuring compliance with all relevant liquor laws and health regulations. The Lead Bartender will also play a critical role in supporting the training and development of bar staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional service standards. With responsibilities extending to point of sale system operation and cash handling adherence, this role is pivotal to the smooth and profitable operation of the bar. Seasonally employed yet integral to the hospitality experience, the Lead Bartender will contribute to a vibrant atmosphere where guests feel welcome and valued. The position requires at least two years of bartending experience, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Knowledge of a wide variety of spirits, wines, beers, and mixology techniques is essential, alongside strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and hold current state food handler and mixologist permits, with preferred certification in alcohol service such as TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol. Job Requirements
- At least one year of related education, training and/or experience
- Ability to perform essential functions on computerized Point of Sale system
- Working knowledge and ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks
- Working knowledge of proper operation of all bar equipment
- Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
- Working knowledge of standard cash handling procedures
- Current State Food Handler’s License and State Mixologist Permit required
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two years bartending experience including one year in a supervisory or lead role
- In-depth knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and mixology techniques
- Strong leadership and customer service skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Must be of legal drinking age (21) to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Current alcohol service certification preferred (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol)
