Job Description
Three Rivers Park District is a natural resources-based park system that manages more than 27,000 acres of parks and trails throughout the Twin Cities area in Minnesota. As one of the largest and most diverse park systems in the region, Three Rivers Park District offers expansive outdoor recreational opportunities, natural beauty, and community-focused programs for visitors of all ages. Established to enhance the quality of life for local residents and tourists alike, the District prides itself on providing safe, clean, and welcoming environments where people can explore nature, enjoy leisure activities, and participate in educational events. The park system is supported by a dedicated team of full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees who work together to fulfill its mission to connect people and nature for a better community.
The position of Seasonal Lead Barista is located at Silverwood Park in St. Anthony, MN, which is one of the many parks operated by Three Rivers Park District. The Silverwood Park location offers a unique cafe experience where guests can relax and enjoy high-quality food and beverage offerings amid scenic surroundings. As a Seasonal Lead Barista, this role is responsible for overseeing and leading an assigned cafe shift to ensure operational excellence and a positive guest experience. This leadership position includes supervising barista team members, coordinating workflow, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring adherence to park district policies and safety protocols.
Beginning at a competitive starting wage of $16.00 per hour, this seasonal role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about customer service, enjoy working in a dynamic outdoor setting, and have some experience in team leadership or supervision. The Lead Barista not only contributes to delivering exceptional service but also plays a pivotal role in mentoring and guiding other cafe staff, fostering a collaborative and fun work environment. Seasonal employees enjoy additional benefits, such as complimentary Recreation Activity Passes that enable access to discounted or free Park District programs and services, reinforcing the mission of working where you play.
In this role, the Seasonal Lead Barista will be instrumental in creating memorable experiences for park guests by consistently providing quality beverages and food items, maintaining an inviting and clean cafe atmosphere, and troubleshooting challenges that may arise during shifts. The position supports Three Rivers Park District's commitment to excellence, diversity, and inclusion, welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences to join the team. This role remains open until filled, with a friendly call to action for interested applicants to apply promptly and become part of a community-oriented organization that values its employees and the environment.
