The Hoxton Portland, part of this elite group, is currently seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Food Runner/Busser to join its team on a seasonal part-time basis until November 1st. Candidates should be available to work Fridays and Saturdays. This role is vital for maintaining the smooth flow of service and ensuring guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience. The Food Runner/Busser will be responsible for delivering food orders promptly according to restaurant needs, ensuring every plate is presented flawlessly before reaching guests, and assisting the wait staff as needed. Additionally, this position involves bussing tables, completing side work duties, and serving as a knowledgeable spokesperson about the hotel’s art, décor, and local community hotspots, which enriches the guest experience with personalized recommendations.
Schulte Hospitality Group is committed to building an inclusive, employee-focused work environment where team members feel valued, empowered, and inspired to advance their careers. The company offers flexible working conditions, a fun and engaging workplace culture, and a comprehensive benefits package. These include daily pay options, free telemedicine and mental health care from day one, multiple health and life insurance plans, a 401k plan with company matching, paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay, pet insurance, and access to an employee assistance program and exclusive savings through the Schulte Savings Marketplace. This role is suited for individuals passionate about hospitality who are eager to contribute positively to team dynamics and guest satisfaction while pursuing personal growth opportunities within the organization.
Joining SHG and the Hoxton Portland means becoming part of a vibrant, fast-paced hospitality setting where every team member plays a crucial role in delivering excellence. The successful candidate should be a cooperative team player with strong multitasking abilities, exceptional verbal communication skills, and a dedication to exceeding guest and team member expectations. Flexibility in working hours and shifts is required, alongside a minimum of a High School education and at least one year of experience in a hotel or restaurant service role. The company conducts a comprehensive hiring process, including interviews, background and reference checks, and possibly employment assessments, to ensure a fit that matches its service values and high operational standards.
