With a rich heritage dating back to 1906, originating under the Italian brand CIGA, the collection offers authentic and unique luxury experiences that create lasting and cherished memories for their guests. Each property, ranging from legendary palaces and remote retreats to timeless modern classics, reflects the unique cultural heritage of its location, serving as a gateway to the local charms and treasures. As part of Marriott International, a globally recognized hospitality leader, The Luxury Collection stands committed to delivering genuine, personalized hospitality that anticipates the needs of discerning luxury travelers. The company values diversity, inclusiveness, and equal opportunity, fostering an environment where a blend of cultures, talents, and experiences contributes to exceptional guest service and workplace fulfillment.
This Full-Time, non-management role is based at the The Luxury Collection location at 465 S La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, California. The position offers an hourly wage of $32.55 and is tip-eligible, highlighting the opportunity for even greater earnings through exceptional customer service. The role involves welcoming guests as they arrive, accurately determining group sizes, and seating guests by ensuring the availability of clean, updated menus and appropriate seating arrangements. The position also requires moving and arranging tables and chairs, organizing settings for guests with special needs, and maintaining the cleanliness of work areas throughout the day. Key responsibilities include continually monitoring the dining area's seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and overall well-being, all while adhering strictly to company policies and safety procedures.
Ideal candidates for this position will be those passionate about hospitality, adept at using clear and professional communication to engage with guests and coworkers, and skilled at fostering positive working relationships within a team environment. Physical stamina to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and the ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance are necessary. There is no requirement for prior supervisory experience or certifications, making this role accessible to individuals with a High School diploma or GED. Previous experience in food service environments is valued but not mandatory, reflecting the company’s commitment to providing opportunities for growth and development.
Joining The Luxury Collection means becoming part of a globally renowned brand and a dynamic team dedicated to elevating the guest experience. Employees are empowered to fulfill their purpose, perform at their best, and evolve into their most professional selves while contributing to a workplace culture that celebrates diversity and excellence in hospitality. This opportunity promises not only a competitive wage and the prospect of tips but also the chance to work in a coveted and culturally rich hospitality environment where every day brings new opportunities to make a memorable impact.
