We are currently seeking enthusiastic and welcoming Hosts to join our Food and Beverage team at The Resort at Pelican Hill. This full-time, non-management position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about guest service and hospitality. The hourly pay rate for this role is $16.90, and it is tip-eligible, offering additional earning potential. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests as they enter our esteemed dining establishments. Your role will be critical in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, ensuring every guest feels valued and well-attended. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, guiding them to clean and available tables, arranging seating to accommodate special needs, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of menu materials and dining areas.
You will be entrusted with monitoring the dining rooms to ensure seating availability, guest safety, and overall well-being, all while adhering to the highest quality and service standards. This role requires excellent communication skills as you will interact with guests, answer telephones, and collaborate closely with other team members to deliver seamless dining experiences. You will maintain a professional appearance and environment by following the company’s policies and safety protocols, including reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly. The position demands a friendly and professional attitude, physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods, and the ability to handle light physical tasks such as moving chairs and tables.

Job Duties
- Greet guests and determine the number in their party
- seat guests by finding a clean, available table
- pull out chairs
- place clean/current menus in front of guests
- guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance
- move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings
- organize seating for groups with special needs
- ensure place settings are appropriate with napkins and clean silverware
- check menus for cleanliness and availability
- maintain cleanliness of work areas and practice clean-as-you-go procedures
- monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being
- follow company and safety policies and procedures and report unsafe conditions
- maintain clean and professional personal appearance
- welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
- communicate clearly and professionally
- answer telephones with proper etiquette
- develop positive working relationships and support team goals
