Job Description

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is a prestigious luxury hotel brand that combines timeless glamour with modern sophistication, offering exquisite experiences at more than 50 prime locations worldwide. Founded with the debut of the St. Regis Hotel in New York by John Jacob Astor IV in the early 20th century, the brand remains dedicated to delivering exceptional, anticipatory service through a team of gracious hosts. These hosts blend classic refinement with contemporary sensibility, providing exclusive butler services and meticulous attention to guest needs. St. Regis is part of Marriott International, a leading global hospitality company that values diversity, inclusivity, and equal employment opportunities, fostering an environment where associates' diverse backgrounds and talents are celebrated.

This full-time, non-management Food and Beverage position based in Newport Beach, California, at the luxurious St. Regis resort in Pelican Hill offers a competitive pay rate of $17.90 per hour, with eligibility for tips. The role involves greeting guests warmly and determining the size of their party, guiding them to clean and prepared tables, and ensuring a seamless dining experience. Responsibilities include arranging seating, cleaning and placing menus, organizing cutlery and napkins, and accommodating special group needs by moving tables and chairs accordingly. The position emphasizes the importance of maintaining dining areas' cleanliness throughout operational hours and ensuring guests' security and satisfaction. Additionally, the role entails adherence to company safety protocols, proper uniform presentation, and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information. Effective communication with guests, colleagues, and management forms a crucial part of the daily tasks, as does supporting team objectives and handling any required training and certifications.

Eligible candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with no prior supervisory experience required, though previous experience in food service environments is valued. The position demands the physical ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and to handle items weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Employees must be committed to upholding Marriott's standards of diversity and inclusion and contribute to a professional, welcoming atmosphere for all guests and associates. Working with St. Regis means joining a global team dedicated to excellence, personal growth, and delivering the best version of oneself while embracing a storied tradition of luxury hospitality.
