The role available at Glow Bird is a part-time, non-management position situated at 300 12th Ave S, Nashville. This role is designed for individuals passionate about food and beverage service, who thrive in a lively, customer-focused environment. As a team member at Glow Bird, you will play an essential role in delivering outstanding guest experiences, supporting both the front-of-house operations and overall ambiance of the poolside restaurant and bar. The position entails greeting and seating guests, ensuring a clean and organized environment, and maintaining the highest standards of service and hospitality. Your responsibilities will include managing table arrangements and seating logistics, assisting guests as they navigate the dining area, and ensuring that all settings—menus, utensils, and napkins—meet the company's quality standards.
This role requires a person who is attentive to detail, proactive in maintaining cleanliness, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting. You will also be expected to uphold Marriott's policies regarding safety and security, report any incidents or hazards actively, and participate in ongoing safety trainings and certifications. Professional appearance and confidentiality regarding company information are paramount in this role, reinforcing the brand's reputation for excellence.
In addition to direct guest interaction, you will be part of a collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues, contributing to a positive workplace culture, and helping achieve shared goals. Physical stamina is also important, as the job requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and the ability to lift and move objects of up to 10 pounds independently.

Job Duties
- Greet guests and determine the number of people in the group
- seat guests at clean, available tables and set tables with updated menus and appropriate utensils
- guide guests through dining areas and provide assistance as needed
- move and arrange tables, chairs, and cutlery, accommodate special group seating requirements
- ensure menus are clean, updated, and wrinkle-free
- maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day using continual cleaning procedures
- monitor seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and well-being
- comply with all company safety and security policies, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, participate in safety trainings and obtain certifications
- maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, protect company property
- greet and recognize guests according to company standards
- communicate clearly and professionally with team members and guests, handle phone protocols
- foster positive work relationships, support team goals, respond appropriately to colleagues’ concerns
- ensure quality standards are met
- stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- lift and move objects up to 10 pounds without assistance
