This iconic establishment offers exceptional accommodations, world-class amenities, and stunning views of the city skyline, Elliot Bay, and the Olympic Mountains. As part of the Hyatt portfolio, Thompson Seattle emphasizes a commitment to excellence, employee growth, and delivering memorable guest experiences. The hotel is home to The Nest, one of Seattle's most renowned rooftop bars, which serves as a premier destination for locals and visitors alike seeking a unique blend of ambiance, breathtaking vistas, and elevated culinary offerings.
The Nest provides an unmatched rooftop experience featuring panoramic views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains, complemented by a menu that highlights the rich flavors and seasonal ingredients of the Pacific Northwest. Apart from its breathtaking scenery, The Nest elevates the bar experience by offering intimate tastings, curated playlists featuring DJs spinning vinyl, and a welcoming environment that promotes socializing and relaxation under the stars. It has cultivated a reputation as a lively and sophisticated venue perfect for both casual gatherings and special occasions.
The Full Time Seasonal Host position at The Nest is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences. This role is pivotal in delivering warm and genuine customer service, as hosts are the first point of contact for every guest entering the venue. The ideal candidate will manage seating arrangements efficiently, greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, and provide personalized recommendations about the menu. The Full Time Seasonal Host will work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure that the dining and social experience runs smoothly and guests leave with a lasting positive impression.
This seasonal role begins in mid-May and extends through the end of September, with exact dates subject to change based on business needs. Candidates must be available for the entire season to be considered. The position provides an hourly wage starting at $23.37, increasing to $23.87 after 90 days, with additional pay increments for long-term employees reaching five, seven, and ten-year milestones. Emphasis is placed on maintaining a warm, inviting atmosphere that aligns with The Nest's brand and hospitality standards.
As a member of Thompson Seattle and the larger Hyatt family, employees benefit from a supportive work environment focused on professional development, diversity, and inclusion. The company pledges equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals regardless of race, gender, religion, or background. Employees also have access to comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days of full-time employment, 401k and retirement savings plans, short-term disability coverage, paid time off, and various leave options.
Moreover, this position offers additional perks such as employee discounted rates, complimentary room nights after 90 days, flexible spending accounts, subsidized transportation options, tuition reimbursement, and uniform dry cleaning. The Full Time Seasonal Host role at The Nest is perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment and are driven to create memorable moments for guests while advancing their careers within a leading hospitality brand.
