Job Description
Eataly stands as the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace, renowned for its unique approach to celebrating Italian culinary traditions in an immersive market environment. Unlike typical chains, each Eataly location showcases its own distinct character and theme, reflecting the local culture while sharing a unified mission: providing guests with an authentic taste of Italy. Through its diverse offerings, Eataly invites guests to eat exceptional Italian dishes crafted in its restaurants, cafes, and to-go counters, shop from a curated selection of premium Italian, locally sourced, and homemade products, and learn about Italian cuisine and culture via specialized classes and knowledgeable team members. This commitment to quality and education makes Eataly a vibrant community hub for food lovers and a destination for those seeking a genuine Italian culinary experience.
The role of Host at Eataly centers around being the first and last point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. This position holds a critical responsibility in ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience while managing the flow of the dining room during service hours. As a Host, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate waitlists and seating charts using Eataly’s computerized systems, coordinating reservations where applicable, and balancing guest distribution across service stations to optimize comfort and efficiency. The Host is the face of the dining experience, providing menus, introducing servers, and assisting with service duties when necessary to uphold the highest standards of hospitality. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, Hosts play an essential role in communication between the dining room team and management to facilitate a seamless flow of operations. This is a seasonal role running from mid-April through October 31st, offering competitive hourly compensation of $17-$20, reflecting Eataly’s commitment to attracting passionate hospitality professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
