Job Description
Hotel June is a distinctive boutique hotel located in West Los Angeles, California, embodying the free-thinking spirit and vibrant soul of the region. Housed in a timeless mid-century modern building, Hotel June offers 250 thoughtfully designed rooms that blend comfort with a unique aesthetic appeal. Strategically situated just minutes from the beach, Playa Vista, LAX airport, and within walking distance to exquisite dining, entertainment, and parks, it provides guests with an inviting and lively atmosphere year-round. The hotel's design and ambiance are inspired by California's laid-back lifestyle, featuring details such as a lush Baja-inspired pool deck that enhances the overall guest experience. Hotel June aims to deliver a seamless combination of style, comfort, and exceptional service, making it a popular destination for travelers seeking a memorable stay in LA.
The role of Restaurant Host at Hotel June is a vital front-of-house position responsible for managing the guest reception experience in the hotel’s restaurant. As the initial point of contact, the Restaurant Host plays an essential role in shaping guests' first impressions by greeting them warmly and ensuring they feel welcomed from the moment they arrive. This role requires managing reservations with precision, overseeing waitlists, and coordinating seating arrangements to ensure guests are promptly and comfortably seated. The Restaurant Host is also tasked with maintaining the flow of service by working closely with the server and kitchen teams, assisting with guest inquiries, and handling any issues or complaints with professionalism and grace. This position demands strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment, and excellent communication skills to provide an elevated guest experience. The ideal candidate will be skilled at maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure while contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment. This role not only supports smooth restaurant operations but also plays a key part in reinforcing the hotel's overall commitment to hospitality excellence. While previous hospitality or customer service experience is preferred, candidates with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and the ability to manage busy dining periods efficiently will thrive in this role. Joining the team at Hotel June means becoming part of a vibrant culture dedicated to creating memorable experiences for guests through thoughtful design and top-tier service. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to grow their careers within the hotel and hospitality industry, within a dynamic and supportive workplace setting. The employment is full-time, offering a chance to develop professionally while contributing to a distinctive and celebrated boutique hotel experience in Los Angeles.
