The currently available position focuses on preparing plate and platter presentations for banquets, emphasizing cold food preparation and cooking using various kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. This role requires meticulous attention to detail for the preparation of ingredients, including portioning, chopping, and proper food storage prior to use. Responsibilities include weighing, measuring, mixing ingredients, washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, and monitoring food quality from preparation through the day. Additionally, the position demands food quality testing to ensure the proper standard of cooking and notifying the manager if any product falls short of specifications.

Another critical aspect of the role is maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen environment, tools, and equipment, alongside setting up and breaking down workstations efficiently. The candidate must ensure appliances and food temperatures are correct while strictly adhering to company and safety policies and procedures. Reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to the manager and completing required safety training and certifications are part of the standard operational protocol.

Beyond kitchen duties, this role includes maintaining a professional personal appearance, upholding confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets. Interaction with guests is an integral part of the position, requiring the candidate to welcome and acknowledge guests in line with company standards, anticipate and address service needs, and communicate clearly and professionally. The candidate must also foster positive working relationships and a supportive team environment, meeting quality expectations and standards consistently.

Physically, the role necessitates reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, alongside standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. The ability to safely move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance is essential.
