Job Description

The Edgewater Hotel is a distinguished and iconic hotel located in Seattle, renowned for its rich history and unique location on Elliott Bay. Originally built for the 1962 World's Fair, The Edgewater Hotel has become a landmark known for hosting legendary music icons such as The Beatles and Blondie. Guests at The Edgewater experience an authentic Pacific Northwest ambiance with its aluminum exteriors, natural wood interiors, and cozy river-rock fireplaces, offering an unparalleled blend of nature’s beauty and urban sophistication. The hotel stands proudly by the Olympic Mountains and Seattle skyline, providing visitors breathtaking views and a memorable stay. As part of the Noble House Hotels and Resorts, The Edgewater embraces a philosophy centered around "location, distinction, and soul," emphasizing individuality of both their properties and their associate team. The culture of The Edgewater reflects a passionate hospitality team that values fun as an essential component of their work environment, ensuring a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests and staff alike.

The Edgewater Hotel is currently seeking a Front Desk Agent to join their team on a seasonal basis, with expected employment dates from May 1 to September 1, though dates are subject to change. This role is primarily scheduled for afternoon and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays, with hours that can start as early as 6 am and end as late as 10 pm. The Front Desk Agent plays a critical role as the first point of contact for hotel guests, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless and welcoming check-in and check-out process. This position requires working to AAA Four Diamond standards, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction and problem resolution. The role also involves handling essential front desk operations such as managing reservations—including for walk-in guests—processing payments and cash handling, running reports, and communicating effectively with other hotel departments to address guest requests and resolve issues efficiently.

This Front Desk Agent position offers competitive pay at $26.75 per hour and an attractive benefits package, which includes a $50 insurance package covering medical, dental, and vision for both individual and family coverage, a retirement plan, and paid time off encompassing holidays, personal days, vacation, and sick leave. Additional perks include reduced-rate valet parking, a provided uniform with complimentary dry cleaning, complimentary meals during paid breaks, a bus pass reimbursement program that covers 50% of bus and ferry transportation costs, and travel discounts for hotel and restaurant services nationwide. Recognition programs providing gift cards, incentives, and career growth opportunities further enhance the appeal of working with The Edgewater Hotel.

Joining The Edgewater Hotel means becoming part of a team that values individuality while working collectively to create unique experiences for their guests. The hotel's commitment to delivering personalized hospitality, steeped in its historic yet vibrant culture, makes it an ideal workplace for professionals passionate about hospitality and guest services.
