We are excited to announce the opening of SHOR, a new restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, featuring dazzling views of the Pacific Ocean just steps from the beach. SHOR is committed to elevating the beachside dining experience through exceptional service and an energetic atmosphere. To support this vision, we are seeking energetic, friendly, and outgoing individuals to join our opening team. As a Seasonal Food Runner at SHOR, you will play an essential role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by assisting Food Servers with timely delivery of food items and maintaining the rhythm of the dining floor. Your role will be fast-paced and customer-focused, offering constant interaction with guests and colleagues alike.

The Seasonal Food Runner position involves working closely with the Expo Line and other team members to ensure efficient service. Key responsibilities include delivering food orders accurately and promptly to guests, bussing tables by clearing dishes and trash, and maintaining organization between the kitchen and dining area. This position requires excellent communication skills, physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate weights, and the ability to remain calm and efficient during busy service times. Candidates must be able to work outdoors, including under direct sun exposure, and have open availability during peak seasons such as Spring Break and Summer, including weekends and holidays.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a similar food service role preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate weight
  • Ability to push and pull heavy items
  • Must have open availability during Spring Break and Summer including weekends and holidays
  • Valid California Food Handler Card
  • California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Willingness to work outdoors
